Multiple play home gateway with built-in 3G femtocell module

The Bewan iBox Femtocell is an all-in-one home gateway that combines a private mobile base station, ADSL2+ router, 10/100 LAN switch and a 802.11g wireless access point with Hotspot functionality and Voice over IP, all in a single box with a modern and innovative design.

It can be used with all computer, multimedia, wired mobile and Wi-Fi devices, to create and share an Internet connection and easily set up a reliable and high performance home network.

The built-in 3G Femtocell module enables operators to reduce rollout, maintenance and after-sales costs as the 3G antenna integrated into the box remains active permanently. The 3G network is therefore available round the clock. This innovative solution offers two key advantages, with operators able to extend mobile coverage right where it’s needed at a low cost, whilst offering their subscribers a pioneering fixed-mobile service. The iBox Femtocell has the same wide array of features offered by the iBox range, giving users access to a complete range of quadruple play services: broadband Internet, IP telephony (fixed/mobile), TV over IP, video on demand, with guaranteed continuity of service. The box allows the user’s connection to be switched automatically to 3G in the event their DSL line goes down. The whole operation is totally transparent for the subscriber, and the user experience is positive. The iBox Femtocell supports the TR-069 protocol, enabling operators to manage modems remotely, rolling out software updates and ensuring optimum ROI.

The Bewan iBox Femtocell also comes with Bewan Home Center, an application that lets users control home automation systems remotely and share their media (documents, photos, video, music, etc.) simply by connecting a USB disk to one of the available USB 2.0 ports.
