Bewan Licensing Program (Bewan LP) : a new business model to boost VAS offering and prepare for the future

Home gateways, regardless of the technologies used, are at the heart of the Value Added Services offered by operators. Adding new services often requires an increase in CAPEX due to the renewal and updating of the CPE installed base. Unbundling the hardware platform from the middleware can offer certain advantages such as technological independence (DSL, Cable, Optical Fibre), chipset independence or even CPE independence. The Bewan Licensing Program allows operators to roll out a range of quadruple play services across their entire range of equipment installed by applying the Bewan middleware to various hardware platforms.
